Since Amirahmadi became managing director (MD) of dairy cooperative Arla Foods UK in 2018, it has grown revenues to more than £2bn, making it Britain’s leading dairy company and the UK’s largest cheese manufacturer. Products include Lurpak and Anchor butter, Cravendale milk, plant-based Lactofree , Skyr yoghurt and Arla Protein yoghurt and milkshakes.
Amirahmadi is the newly-elected chair of the board of Dairy UK and serves on the Government’s Food Resilience Forum, set up in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He joined Arla UK in 2004 and its leadership team in 2010, assuming responsibility for its relationships with its farmer owners. In 2012, he oversaw its merger with the Milk Link cooperative and went on to serve as marketing director and sales director.
He began his career at Unilever, holding supply chain and commercial posts.
